I am very excited!
Why?
ESPN picked up 'The Contender II' reality tv series and will air April 2006.
Hurrah!
I knew there would be second season. I hate to say I told you so, but..... I told you.
I don't know what the details are but I am hoping they make the changes we are all expecting. I will continue to keep you updated.

I stayed up to watch the contender last night and watched Tony & Jesse fight, Tony clearly won yet the judges said different. Then the major bout Peter and Moro and clearly Peter won. If the judges have that much say in changing a clear fight. I may just pass on the contender this year, even though it was the best show on TV, actually the only show worth watching. The judges are watching something esle!! Sure not the fight.
I'm glad the above poster and i are on the same page...i was a huge fan of the show and Jesse...Jesse got his ass whipped the entire fight and won on some bull**** dec....Manfredo owned Mora the whole fight and lost i don't know who was payed off but i tell you one thing they have lost a fan for sure...if this is in any way indicative of the way the show will be i will not waste my time
You know it, I know it, and Peter Manfredo certainly knows it. Mora did not win that fight. Mora might have won some other fight and the judges gto confused, but not the fight we were looking at. I hope it doesn't adversely affect Peter's mind, in subsequent fights.
He's a good guy and a hard worker. He's got skill. He's not a snake.
I AGREE WITH THE ABOVE TWO COMMENTS!! IF YOU EXPECT OUR FIGHTERS TO DISPLAY A FAIR AND GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP ATTITUDE THE LEAST THAT CAN BE DONE BY PROFESSIONAL JUDGES IS TO BE FAIR AND UNBIAS IN THE JUDGING !! NO ONE LIKES A CHEATRER!! I AM FEMALE AND ENJOYED THE FIRST CONTENDER SERIES AND WILL VIEW THE SECOND SEASON -- I WATCHED ESPN 3/23/06 BUT WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THE JUDGING ALSO. I THINK MAYBE NEUTRAL TERRITORY MAY BVE THE ANSWER!! GOOD LUCK TO REID AND MANFREDO IN THE FUTURE -- KEEP HEART,GOOD GUYS EVENTUALLY FINISH FIRST!!!
